What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural chemical compound occurring in the cannabis family of plants which includes both hemp and marijuana. CBD is one of the hundreds of cannabinoids (chemical compounds) that occur in the cannabis plant. KulKote CBD is derived from the hemp plant and contains no THC. The extraction technique our supplier uses to get CBD from hemp completely separates CBD from the other cannabinoids.

Is CBD legal?

The Agricultural Improvement Act (2018), helped to legalize industrial hemp that has less than 0.3% THC by weight. Although this is a federal act, individual states can create exceptions that may limit the sale or distribution of CBD products in those states. Check with your legal team and state or country laws.

Will CBD get me high?

No, experts claim CBD won’t get you high due to an extremely low or zero THC content. CBD must contain less than 0.3% THC, which is the psychoactive cannabinoid found in marijuana. Our CBD is THC free.

Has the FDA approved any CBD products for medical use?

At this time, the FDA has only approved one CBD product for medical use. FDA has approved Epidiolex, which contains a purified form of the drug substance CBD for the treatment of seizures. The FDA is waiting for more clinical trials to provide their full recommendation on other CBD products.
